Thank you for writing this :) I've been really mulling over 'work' before and through Covid. I am looking for full-time work (currently working part-time), but even as I'm looking for it part of me really hesitates. Especially seeing my boyfriend being mentally crushed by a larger workload because of Covid and feeling stuck with the job market. It's hard.

I think there are more & more voices coming out that are looking skeptically at work (there's the subreddit r/antiwork and r/anticonsumption). I am curious of what a different relationship to work would look like.

I do wish for a future in which worrying about paychecks has more to do with 'I can't afford that thing that I don't need' and less to do with 'I'm worried about rent, food'.

I wonder what a future would look like if our basics were taken care of, and we were free to explore what we are naturally drawn to.
