Hey Shannon- well written as always. one of the things i would just keep my eye on is when your daughter goes to other houses if she gets her needs met or if she doesn’t vocalize them, and just keep encouraging her to do so. That sentence about keeping the light on triggered my own memories, and i would do that sort of thing all the time as a kid (go to bed without enough blankets because i was afraid to ask, not brushing my teeth because i forgot my toothbrush and was afraid to ask). mainly the worry came from not wanting to be too much trouble. Just my hunch is if she did this at her fathers, she might be doing the same thing at her friends’ places.
